Job summary

Royal Mail is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join as flexible (temporary) postal delivery drivers. You will be the face of Royal Mail in your community, delivering letters and parcels across your round, both by van and on foot, come rain or shine.

With guaranteed hours during peak periods and shifts spanning day, dawn, early morning, evening, late, and night, you’ll stay active and engaged while serving local communities. A driving assessment will be required on start.

Qualifications

• Full, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Be prepared to walk 20,000 steps a day and carry a mailbag up to 16kg.
• Shifts can vary; must be able to adapt at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver letters and parcels across your rounded area ensuring items reach destinations.Drive the Royal Mail delivery van as part of your round and complete portions on foot.
• Handle election materials and certain items in line with Royal Mail standards; ensure safe and secure delivery.
