Job summary

Maps Logistics Ltd is seeking a Delivery Driver for Cardiff. You will operate a van on high-volume parcel routes, loading and delivering safely while complying with road laws and company procedures.

The role stresses safe driving, route following, daily reporting of hours, mileage and fuel, and accurate scanning of goods. DBS checks and induction testing are part of the process.

Qualifications

• Must have UK or EU driving licence for at least 1 year.
• DBS check will be completed.
• Drug & Alcohol test conducted on induction day.
• Previous delivery driver experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive responsibly and legally within speed limits.
• Check vehicle roadworthiness and report defects.
• Load and secure parcels safely.
• Record daily duties, hours, mileage and fuel.
• Follow planned routes and use Highway Code.
• Ensure goods are scanned and accounted for.
• Park vehicles legally at delivery points.

Maps Logistics Ltd is a delivery company based in Swansea, delivering high volumes of parcels on behalf of our clients and dedicated to the satisfaction of our customers.

• To drive responsibly and within the law at all times, within speed limits and with due regard for other road users.
• To have the ability to be able to check the delivery vehicle is in a roadworthy condition and have the ability to record/report any defects found
• To be able to Load the vehicle with due regard for safely, security, and parcel care.
• The ability to record your driving daily duties, hours worked, working time, mileage and fuel.
• You should have a good standard of Safe and fuel efficient driving and hazard awareness.
• You should have good working knowledge of the Highway Code. - The ability to follow pre planned routes
• Ensuring vehicle is parked legally and securely whilst carrying out your collection and delivery duties
• Ensure all goods are accounted for and scanned as required

• Must have held a UK or EU Driving Licence for at least 1 year
• Less than 6 points required on license
• DBS check will be completed
• Drug & Alcohol test will be completed on induction day
• Previous Delivery driver experience
• Preferred (Such as Amazon Delivery, DPD, DHL, Parcelforce, Evri, Tesco etc)
