Our Customer Delivery Driver rate of pay starts from £13.35 an hour; this increases to £14.56 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.

It's our policy to offer new colleagues a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, but if you'd like to work fewer hours (to a minimum of 12), we have opportunities for this too and would love to hear from you.

The table shows the periods of time in the week we'd like you to be available to work—the availability windows. We will schedule your contracted hours within these times, with 3 weeks' notice of your shifts. Customers are at the heart of everything we do. As the face of Tesco on the road, we deliver from Lands' End to John O'Groats. Our Delivery Drivers meet customers in their homes daily, making this role about more than just driving: it's about helping others and delivering great service with a smile.

This role is hands-on, physical, and varied. No two shifts are the same, and our customers seek help in many ways. You'll feel like your own boss most of the day, delivering to customers, with support from managers and colleagues back at base.

Responsibilities include:

• Ensuring the van and trays are clean and organized.
• Leaving the customer's yard tidy and picking up litter.
• Washing trays as part of the process.
• Loading the van and checking for roadworthiness.
• Communicating with customers about order changes and substitutions, offering refunds if needed.
• Handling products carefully.
• Delivering within the scheduled time slot.
• Calling customers if arriving early or late.

Minimum requirements:

• Build relationships with colleagues to foster team spirit.
• Be warm and welcoming to customers and colleagues.
• Respond quickly to customer needs and embrace change.
• Be energetic and driven to exceed expectations.
• Share ideas to improve the store.
• Hold a valid UK/EU/EEA driving license (Full or Automatic) for at least 12 months with no more than 3 penalty points.
