Job summary

Cencora in the United Kingdom is seeking a Multi Drop Van Driver to ensure the speedy, efficient, and accurate delivery of pharmaceuticals to pharmacies and hospitals in the Dorchester area. A full driving license and strong customer service focus are essential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pharmaceuticals to pharmacies and hospitals safely and efficiently.
• Conduct daily vehicle checks and ensure roadworthiness.
• Report faults, delays, accidents or breakdowns promptly.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and security of contents.
• Ensure orders on drop sheets are loaded and delivered correctly.
• Support warehouse tasks as needed by management.

Job Title: Multi Drop Van Driver

Location: Dorchester

Hours per week: 48hrs M/T/W/TH/F and Sat mornings

Salary: £35,642.88

Job Summary

To ensure the speedy, efficient, and accurate delivery of pharmaceuticals to pharmacies and hospitals.

Key Responsibilities

• To maintain a safe a competent standard of driving, observing speed limits and other traffic signs and giving due regard to other road users.
• To have a daily check to ensure that your vehicle is in a roadworthy condition including a check of the lights, brakes, coolant, etc.
• To report any faults, breakdowns, accidents or delays.
• To maintain the internal and external condition of the vehicle together with the cleanliness of the vehicle.
• To ensure sufficient quantities of fuel have been taken for the day's work.
• To maintain the security of the vehicle and its contents at all times.
• To check all orders shown on the drop sheets and ensure all orders are loaded on the vehicle.
• To collect goods returned for credit, mail, delivery bins and their safe return to the branch at times instructed by the branch management.
• Ensure damages/breakages are dealt with promptly and correctly with due regard to special procedures for HazChems.
• To help maintain good customer relations.
• To be involved in other duties including warehouse tasks as defined by the Management.

Skills Knowledge and Experience required:

• Essential A full driving license must be held relevant to the vehicle being driven Whilst we do not ask for a clean license, we will assess the risk of employing applicants who have points on their license, and this may affect our decision to shortlist.
