Job summary

Cencora, Inc. is hiring a multi-drop delivery driver in the United Kingdom. You will deliver company products to customers safely and on time, acting as the first point of contact and upholding high standards of customer care.

You will perform daily vehicle checks, report faults, manage drop orders, and support warehouse tasks as needed. A full UK driving licence is required and your communication skills should be excellent.

Responsibilities

• Ensure orders on drop sheets are loaded and accurate
• Collect goods returned and return to branch as instructed
• Handle damages and HazChem procedures promptly
• Present a smart appearance and maintain customer relations
• Assist with warehouse tasks as needed
• Meet Health & Safety requirements
• Possess strong security for vehicle and contents
• Involve in other duties as defined by management

Job description

This role is a multi-drop delivery driver role and the person will be responsible for delivering company products to the customer in a safe and timely manner. You'll be a representative of the company and be one of the first point of contacts for our customers, so a high standard of customer care must be maintained at all times.

Key Responsibilities

• To maintain a safe a competent standard of driving, observing speed limits and other traffic signs and giving due regard to other road users.
• To have a daily check to ensure that your vehicle is in a roadworthy condition including a check of the lights, brakes, coolant, etc.
• To report any faults, breakdowns, accidents or delays.
• To maintain the internal and external condition of the vehicle together with the cleanliness of the vehicle.
• To ensure sufficient quantities of fuel have been taken for the day's work.
• To maintain the security of the vehicle and its contents at all times.
• To check all orders shown on the drop sheets and ensure all orders are loaded on the vehicle.
• To collect goods returned for credit, mail, delivery bins and their safe return to the branch at times instructed by the branch management.
• Ensure damages/breakages are dealt with promptly and correctly with due regard to special procedures for HazChems.
• To always maintain a smart appearance.
• To help maintain good customer relations.
• To be involved in other duties including warehouse tasks as defined by the Management.
• Meet all Health & Safety requirements

A full driving license must be held relevant to the vehicle being driven

Whilst we do not ask for a clean license, we will assess the risk of employing applicants who have points on their license, and this may affect our decision to shortlist
