Role Overview

You will support our Service Centre operations as a 3.5 tonne van driver, delivering and collecting a wide range of plant hire equipment – from excavators and telehandlers to generators and scissor lifts – to names just a few. Every day brings something new – travelling to different locations, meeting customers, delivering and collecting equipment. You will also demonstrate how to operate the equipment, providing training and skills needed in a professional and safe manner.

Responsibilities

• Travel to various locations to deliver and collect plant hire equipment.
• Operate plant equipment safely and demonstrate operation to customers.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation.
• Comply with health and safety legislation and Sunbelt Rentals policies.
• Adhere to schedules, routes and customer requirements.
• Act as the face of Sunbelt Rentals by providing excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Fully competent driver with licence category B, preferably a clean driving record (no more than six points).
• Licence category E with Driver CPC and Digital Driver Card desirable (training may be available).
• Strong customer service and communication skills with ability to build relationships.
• Flexible, adaptable and effective team player.
• Articulate, organised with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Commitment to health and safety, compliance with H&S legislation and Sunbelt Rentals policies.
• HGV Class One Driver required for 11‑car transporter operations; 1‑year experience and 6 months current 11‑car transporting.
