Our client, a leading District Heating organisation, has a fantastic opportunity for a Delivery Director to join their growing team. The Delivery Director will have proven commercial contract experience and will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of a portfolio of large-scale District Heating projects.

The ideal candidate will come from a background in commercial construction, district heating, or utilities and energy, with experience managing large budgets, reducing risk, and ensuring successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities for the Delivery Director

• Lead projects through the Construction and Commercial teams of the business.
• Ensure projects are well managed and successfully delivered.
• Ensure compliance with all HSE policies and procedures, and that they are implemented and followed.
• Oversee the construction delivery of projects safely, on time, and within budget, through both self-delivery and contract models.
• Manage and understand delivery contracts, ensuring they are managed and executed in a timely manner.
• Ensure sufficient resources are available to deliver the projects.
• Monitor project progress and report against targets.

Key Experience for the Delivery Director

• Extensive experience in Construction Contract Management.
• Proven ability to deliver multi-disciplinary projects.
• Experience operating at a senior level, demonstrating the ability to reduce project risk, add value, and challenge internal and external stakeholders to achieve project aims.
• At least 5 years’ experience leading project management in Commercial and/or Construction sectors.
• Knowledge of heat networks is not essential, but familiarity with Utilities provision is desirable.
