Job summary

James-Hall- in Preston is seeking a Deli Supervisor to lead the deli team in delivering great service and delicious food. You will oversee preparation and presentation of a wide range of freshly made products, ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and presentation while creating a welcoming environment for customers.

You will lead by example, maintain allergen awareness, audits, and stock management, and motivate the team in a busy retail setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in food service or retail.
• Knowledge of food safety standards (Level 2 would be an advantage).
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Supervising and supporting the deli team on a daily basis
• Providing excellent customer service and encouraging the team to do the same
• Preparing, baking, and presenting our deli products
• Managing stock levels, rotation, and ordering where required
• Leading by example in maintaining food safety, allergen awareness, labeling, and audits
• Ensuring counters and displays are fully stocked and attractively presented
• Keeping equipment and work areas clean, safe, and sanitised at all times
