Job summary

TXO is seeking a Deinstallation Assistant - Telecommunications in Andover, UK. This permanent full-time role starts on-site with a clear pathway into telecommunications, with training and progression toward Team Lead, Technical Specialist, and senior project roles.

The role involves unloading equipment, physical de-installation, asset detailing, and assisting with deliveries and collections. You must be able to work away from home Monday to Friday, and hold a driving licence.

Qualifications

• Independent worker but good team player.
• Physical strength and ability to safely handle equipment; some of which can be very heavy requiring two people or lifting equipment.
• Ability to work away from home Monday to Friday.
• PC skills, especially Word and Excel.
• Able to be away from home Mon-Thurs on occassions.

Responsibilities

• Recovery of redundant cable systems

Job Function

Reporting to the Head of Projects and Onsite Engineering Lead, this exciting opportunity allows you to start on-site and grow into something bigger. This is more than a deinstallation role, it’s a structured pathway into telecommunications, with training and progression towards Team Lead, Technical Specialist, and senior project roles.

Main Duties/responsibilities

• Unloading of equipment from site vans
• Physical de-installation of telecoms equipment.
• Recovery of redundant cable systems
• De-installation of infrastructure such as unistrut, cable tray and basket.
• Moving equipment to staging area / loading bays.

Assist with Deliveries & Collections

• Delivery of equipment & consumables to work site
• Delivery of equipment to clients’ sites
• Collect equipment from clients’ sites
• Rack collections
• Delivery of equipment to recycle centres
• Movement of equipment to TXO warehouses

Detailing Assets

• Record serial numbers of stock items.
• Assist with stock takes and inventory counting
• Prepare stock for recycling
• Prepare stock for transport to warehouse
• Labelling stock items

About You

• Independent worker but good team player
• Physical strength and ability to safely handle equipment; some of which can be very heavy requiring two people or lifting equipment
• Ability to work under own initiative, whilst meeting the standards of the company’s documented quality and environmental systems
• Ability to work away from home Monday to Friday
• PC skills, especially Word and Excel
• Able to be away from home Mon-Thurs on occassions

Driving Licence required

• Up to £31,000 basic salary
• Daily subsistence allowance for breakfasts and evening meals
