Job summary

Babcock is seeking a Driver at Lyneham to support the Military Transport Section, ensuring the safe and timely movement of personnel and vehicles. The role requires operating within standard hours and may include occasional overtime, weekends, and overnight shifts to meet customer requirements.

Applicants must hold a PCV licence (D1/D) with Driver CPC, knowledge of tachograph rules, and be able to obtain SC security clearance.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Drive duties across the Military Transport Section, delivering safe, courteous service.
• Complete daily vehicle inspections before use and report faults.
• Support cleaning and presentation of customer-supplied vehicles to standard.
• Provide flexibility for occasional weekend work or overnight tasks as required.
• Uphold safety, compliance and operational procedures while representing the organisation.
