Job summary

Babcock is seeking a Military Training Support Operator at the Minley, Hampshire site to ensure equipment, resources and stores are ready for training activities. This full-time, permanent role offers hands-on duties in a dynamic defence environment within a FTSE 100 organisation.

Set working times are Monday to Thursday, 8:00am to 4:30pm and Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm with overtime as needed. Eligible for generous benefits and a clear path to develop logistics and engineering skills.

Qualifications

• Experience with manual handling in a practical working environment.
• Ability to swim and work safely in a physically active role.
• Experience in logistics, stores, warehouse or operational support is beneficial but training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of Combat Engineering Support services, including transporting, erecting and dismantling equipment for training activities.
• Issue and receive equipment, maintain stock levels and ensuring stores are managed effectively.
• Carry out equipment maintenance activities in accordance with Army Equipment Support Publications.
• Respond to customer queries in a professional, positive and enthusiastic manner.
• Support audits, inspections, resource management activities and operational requirements across the site.
