Job summary

SCC is seeking a Defence CTO to lead pre-sales across secure IT, cyber, data and digital transformation in defence programmes. The role is remote with regular travel to customer sites and SCC offices, mainly in the South and Midlands.

You will partner with Defence leadership to shape mission-aligned solutions, run discovery workshops, and drive services-led growth while navigating in a complex defence ecosystem. Hybrid working is available with extensive travel.

Qualifications

• Senior pre-sales technologist with defence domain experience.
• Strong understanding of secure IT, cloud, data and cyber.
• Experience with Defence Digital and national security contractors.

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery, problem framing and service design workshops.
• Shape mission-aligned solutions with SCC capabilities.
• Own solution direction with SMEs, vendors and partners.
• Build pre-sales artefacts and support bids.
• Act as technical authority during early capture.
