Job summary

Reed in the United Kingdom is seeking a Systems Engineer Specialist (eDV mandatory) to start ASAP in Cheltenham with hybrid working arrangements. The role involves leading scoping, design and delivery of complex mission-critical systems and services.

You will facilitate workshops, gather requirements, mitigate risks, provide technical leadership and oversee delivery, with emphasis on defence/government programs and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified or equivalent experience in a relevant technical discipline.
• Strong background in Systems Engineering, Technical Architecture, Software, Networking or Cyber Security.
• Experience delivering complex projects within consultancy, systems integration or public sector environments.
• Proven track record supporting defence, government, national security or law enforcement programmes.
• Strong understanding of engineering methodologies including Agile, V-Model, risk management and requirements management.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and client-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the scoping, design and delivery of complex mission-critical systems and services.
• Facilitate technical workshops, requirements gathering and risk analysis activities.
• Develop engineering approaches and technical designs to mitigate project risks.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams.
• Oversee project delivery, integration activities and stakeholder engagement.
• Produce and maintain key engineering artefacts, documentation and reports.
