Job summary

Plextek is seeking a Defence Business Development Lead to own and drive the full sales cycle for defence campaigns, spanning market insight, account strategy, capture, bid leadership and long-term growth. You’ll engage across military commands, primes, SMEs and government partners to secure strategic opportunities.

Qualifications

• Proven success in defence/related technology sales and bids.
• Strong knowledge of the UK defence ecosystem and procurement routes.
• Ability to manage the full sales lifecycle from lead to revenue.
• Technical credibility with engineering or electronics background.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end defence opportunities from engagement to close.
• Develop targeted account plans with defence primes and MOD bodies.
• Translate Plextek’s capabilities into customer propositions.
• Own capture planning, bid strategy, and pricing assumptions.
• Handover to delivery and support ongoing account growth.
