Job summary

Babcock is seeking a Solution Architect to join our Digital Solutions team in Bristol with hybrid working. You will be at the heart of defence infrastructure programmes, shaping the technical solutions for submarine fleet maintenance, collaborating with government clients and partners.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in technical architecture and solution design.
• Ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
• Knowledge of security principles and governance.
• Experience delivering complex systems integration solutions.

Responsibilities

• Scope functional and non‑functional requirements and translate them into high‑level solution designs.
• Define system components, integration points and data flows using modern technologies and platforms.
• Present and communicate solution designs to stakeholders through workshops, proposals and visual storyboarding.
• Lead technical delivery, resolving complex issues, managing risks and working with software partners to achieve successful deployment.
• Ensure solutions align with architectural strategies and standards, selecting appropriate technologies and vendors to meet programme needs.
