Job summary

Babcock is hiring a Solution Architect to shape technical solutions for submarine maintenance and defence infrastructure. You will work with government clients, partners and design teams to deliver secure, scalable solutions from Warrington to Bristol as part of a growing architectural team.

The role emphasizes architecture delivery, stakeholder engagement, and adherence to security standards within a hybrid work model (2 days in office, 3 days at home). SC clearance is required or achievable.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in technical architecture and solution design.
• Ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong knowledge of security principles and governance.
• Experience delivering complex systems integration.

Responsibilities

• Scope functional and non‑functional requirements into high-level designs.
• Define system components, integration points and data flows.
• Present designs to stakeholders via workshops and proposals.
• Lead technical delivery, manage risks, coordinate with software partners.
• Ensure solutions align with architectural strategies and select technologies.
