Job summary

Randstad CPE is recruiting a dependable site labourer for an ongoing contract on a secure defence project in the Northallerton area. You will work closely with the site management team and main contractors, assisting with daily site logistics, material movement, and maintaining high safety standards.

This role emphasises reliability, punctuality and respect for site security protocols, with Full PPE provided and clear pathways to progression on future defence-site opportunities.

Qualifications

• Valid CSCS Card is essential.
• BPSS/SC clearance or eligibility for vetting due to the defence site.
• Experience as a labourer on commercial, civil, or defence construction sites preferred.
• Full PPE provided (hard hat, high-vis jacket/vest, steel toe cap boots).
• Reliable, punctual and compliant with site security protocols.

Responsibilities

• Assisting sub-contractors and site trades with moving materials and equipment safely across site.
• Maintaining clean, safe, and organised work areas and access routes, adhering to MOD/defence safety policies.
• Clearing construction waste, sweeping up, and loading skips.
• Assisting with unloading and distribution of site deliveries.
• Carrying out general physical labour and manual handling tasks as directed by the Site Manager.
