Job summary

Randstad CPE is seeking a reliable general labourer for a short-term contract on a busy new build housing site in Skelmanthorpe. Immediate start for a dependable operative looking for local work, working alongside the Site Manager and trades to keep site logistics moving and plots safe and clean.

The role involves assisting trades, unloading deliveries, and carrying out general manual duties across the development with a strong emphasis on health and safety on live plots.

Qualifications

• Experience as a labourer on a construction site (new build housing experience preferred).
• Full PPE provided: hard hat, high‑vis jacket/vest, steel toe cap boots.
• Strong work ethic, punctuality and proactive attitude.
• Ability to follow health and safety instructions around live plots and site machinery.

Responsibilities

• Assist sub-contractors and trades with moving and distributing materials across active plots.
• Sweep plots, clear construction waste, and load skips.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised site environment in line with health and safety procedures.
• Assist site management with unloading and coordinating incoming deliveries.
• Perform general manual labour and physical duties across the development.
