Job summary

Mace seeks a Security Controller to join our Defence team in Cumbria, supporting a high-profile, highly regulated Defence programme. The role requires trusted professionals who can operate with discretion and integrity within a secure environment.

The position starts in late autumn to early winter and sits in an Integrated Client Team, with responsibilities for safe and controlled delivery of complex construction and infrastructure projects over a long-term Defence programme.

Qualifications

• Strong ICT skills and MS Office suite (SharePoint, Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Knowledge of national security vetting for government, military and agencies.
• Knowledge of data protection and Freedom of Information legislation.
• Working knowledge of UK Government vetting processes (BPSS, SC, DV).

Responsibilities

• Managing and coordinating security clearance processes (BPSS, SC, DV).
• Overseeing personnel security processes.
• Acting as the primary contact for vetting activities and coordinating clearances.
• Managing relationships with UKSV, client reps and internal stakeholders on security matters.
• Maintaining security governance and ensuring compliance with Defence requirements.
