Job summary

Assystem is seeking a Requirements Engineer for Defence in Glasgow. The role focuses on ensuring plant refurbishment meets modern standards and regulatory requirements, with hybrid working (3 days in Glasgow office, 2 days at home).

You will manage requirements across multi-discipline projects, produce detailed specifications, and lead interface management between engineering teams, collaborating with mechanical, electrical and process systems.

Qualifications

• Degree in an engineering or scientific discipline is essential.
• Chartered/ Incorporated Engineer or working towards it is preferred.
• Experience in highly regulated industries is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage requirements and acceptance processes across multi-discipline projects.
• Produce and maintain detailed requirement specifications.
• Lead interface management between engineering teams.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and process systems.
• Utilise requirements management software effectively.
• Support Project Engineers and Project Managers with guidance.
• Conduct regular governance reviews.
• Assess technical deliverables from consultants and contractors.
