Job summary

4Front Recruitment is representing a client delivering Defence construction projects in the South West. The Quantity Surveyor will support commercial management from pre-contract through to final account, with hybrid working in Bristol.

This role targets around 4 years' experience, a degree in Quantity Surveying, and a strong grasp of cost control, forecasting, and subcontractor management. Defence experience is advantageous but not essential, and there is a clear development path.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
• Around 4 years' experience in a commercial department.
• Good understanding of construction commercial processes.
• Collaborative approach and ability to engage with project teams.
• Defence experience is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist with cost control, forecasting, and commercial reporting.
• Manage subcontractor packages, valuations, and payments.
• Support change control, variations, and cost recovery.
• Work with project teams to manage risk and maximise value.
• Ensure compliance with contract and commercial procedures.
• Contribute to the successful commercial delivery of Defence projects.
