Job summary

Infraspec in the United Kingdom is seeking Planning Engineers at all levels to support a major long-term defence programme. The role focuses on developing, maintaining and analysing project schedules to keep milestones on track.

You'll work with project managers, engineers and client stakeholders in a collaborative, specialist planning and project controls environment, with exposure to large-scale defence programmes and clear routes for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Experience as Planning Engineer, Project Planner, or Project Controls Planner.
• Experience in defence, engineering, construction, manufacturing, aerospace, or major project environments.
• Strong understanding of planning principles and programme management methodologies.
• Experience with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or equivalent planning software.
• Knowledge of NEC contracts and programme delivery frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using industry-standard planning tools.
• Support programme delivery teams with planning, forecasting, and schedule management activities.
• Undertake critical path analysis and identify programme risks, constraints, and opportunities.
• Produce programme reporting and planning outputs for internal and client stakeholders.
• Monitor project progress and assess schedule performance against key milestones.
• Support risk workshops, change management processes, and project controls activities.
• Ensure programme schedules comply with contractual and governance requirements, including NEC frameworks.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary project teams to drive successful programme outcomes.
