Hays is proud to be recruiting for a leading firm providing legal and claims solutions to insurers, businesses, and other suppliers to the insurance sector. They are seeking to hire a defence litigation / personal injury solicitor with 2–4 years PQE for their Belfast office. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a solicitor to further their expertise and career in an exciting legal sector with an industry leader.

Your New Role

This role offers you an excellent opportunity to manage your own High Court caseload, working alongside the firm's lead partner while defending large catastrophic loss cases. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

1. Handle a diverse and interesting caseload of personal injury claims.
2. Work alongside the lead lawyer managing a caseload of complex injury claims including high-value catastrophic injury claims.
3. Provide expert legal advice on relevant medical issues to instruct medical professionals and clients.
4. Attend relevant court hearings and mediations as required.

What You Will Need to Succeed

To be a successful candidate, you will ideally have experience in defence litigation or personal injury alongside:

1. Qualified solicitor in Northern Ireland with 2–4 years PQE.
2. Strong oral and written communication skills.
3. Ability to critically think and analyze complex legal issues.
4. Experience of cases involving complex medical issues is preferred.
