Job summary

NG Bailey Group is seeking a Defence Information Security Manager (DISM) to oversee day-to-day assurance across information, personnel, physical and protective security within the Defence sector. You will ensure compliance with MOD and ISO/IEC 27001 standards while guiding security policy across bids, mobilisations and new sites.

You will lead security audits, manage incidents and drive improvements, working with customers and internal teams.

Qualifications

Experience in protective, personnel, physical or information security within defence or sensitive environments.
Knowledge of personnel security, BPSS, and national security vetting processes.
Experience developing policies, planning audits, security reviews or risk assessments, and producing clear findings.

Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day assurance across information, personnel, physical and protective security.
Ensure compliance with MOD, government, contractual, and ISO/IEC 27001 requirements.
Conduct site audits and assessments; manage security incidents and improvements.
Support secure delivery of Defence contracts and act as main security contact for the sector.
Plan and deliver risk-based security audits across Defence sites and drive corrective actions.
Provide guidance on clearance requirements and onboarding/offboarding activities.
Maintain Defence Security Compliance Register and ensure records are accurate and auditable.
