Job summary

Career Choices Dewis Gyrfa Ltd is recruiting an Operations Manager (Hard FM) to oversee maintenance and response works across multiple defence-related sites in the Chester area. You will ensure compliant service delivery and manage subcontractors while maintaining statutory requirements.

Candidates should hold an HNC or equivalent in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, with proven Hard FM experience and strong M&E knowledge.

Qualifications

• HNC or equivalent qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Hard FM experience in maintenance, engineering or facilities management.
• Strong M&E background with building services and compliance.
• Experience managing subcontractors across multiple sites.
• Knowledge of CAFM systems and maintenance processes.
• SC clearance eligibility or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of Hard FM services across multiple sites within the portfolio.
• Ensure all maintenance and response works meet statutory and contractual requirements.
• Manage subcontractor performance to meet KPIs.
• Review risk assessments and safe systems of work.
• Maintain accurate asset and maintenance records in CAFM.
• Carry out site inspections, audits and compliance reviews.
• Project manage M&E works from inception to completion.
• Promote health, safety and environmental culture.
