Job summary

EMCOR UK, part of OCS, is seeking a hands-on Mechanical Maintenance Support role at Aldermaston. You will assist Mechanical Engineers and steam pipefitters with planned and reactive tasks, using basic mechanical knowledge and hand tools.

Full training provided with a clear development plan to progress into a more advanced position; eligibility for high-level security clearance and a full UK driving licence are required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a technical support role.
• Basic understanding of mechanical maintenance processes.
• Strong health and safety knowledge.
• Eligible to obtain high-level security clearance.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Assist Mechanical Engineers and Steam pipefitters with all planned and reactive tasks.
• Ensure any repairs noticed during duties are reported to the Works Supervisor.
• Have knowledge of petrol fuelled generators and water pumps for planned maintenance of underground services.
• Ability to work by themselves and follow reporting procedures set out by line manager/supervisor.
• Carrying out clearing of under growth from external steam and condensate pipework across site and painting pipe supports.
• Escorting of sub-contractors/personnel who require escorting in order to complete their activities.
• Ensure good housekeeping and working practices are employed and that you always represent EMCOR in a professional manner.
• Comply with any reasonable request from line manager.
