Job summary

EMCOR UK is seeking a skilled mechanical engineer to maintain and support Defence sites. You will perform planned and unplanned maintenance, manage faults, and ensure strict safety and regulatory compliance across building services.

The role requires collaboration with line management and contractors, with a focus on reliability and operational performance on critical assets. You will be responsible for supervising contractors, documenting work, and maintaining high standards of quality while

Qualifications

• PSSR 2000 knowledge and understanding of safety regulations.
• Experience in building services/facilities management.
• Articulate, numerate and IT literate.
• Understanding of legislative compliance and contract law (preferred).
• Broad knowledge of facilities management and building services engineering.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned and reactive mechanical maintenance to schedule and document work.
• Support Line Manager in implementing EMCOR policies and standards.
• Rectify defects ensuring safety and performance standards.
• Carry out routine maintenance on mechanical systems.
• Supervise specialist contractors and ensure certifications/documentation are complete.
• Liaise with Helpdesk and respond to urgent maintenance tasks within timescales.
• Represent EMCOR professionally and uphold high standards of safety and quality.
