Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking an Estimator for our UK Defence estimating team. You will deliver accurate estimates and cost models for major defence projects, work within an integrated project controls environment, and collaborate with clients to support decision making.

Ideal candidates have Defence sector experience, strong MS Office skills, and a track record of producing comprehensive cost estimates in a public sector context.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to produce accurate estimates and cost models.
• Experience in an integrated project controls environment.
• Experience on public sector and defence-related projects.
• Strong MS Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Clear written and verbal communication in client-facing contexts.

Responsibilities

• Produce accurate and timely estimates and cost models for projects.
• Control and manage the estimating process at project level.
• Produce estimates with minimal supervision.
• Work as part of a team or independently as required.
• Promote estimating best practices within Turner & Townsend.
• Represent the firm in client organizations to support project objectives.
• Contribute to departmental objectives and stay current with technical developments.
• Stay informed of developments in own technical area to provide best-practice guidance.
