Job summary

Babcock offers a two-year Electronic and Communications Engineering Graduate Programme with placements across multiple UK sites including Bristol and Plymouth. The role focuses on designing and delivering secure communications systems for defence and civil applications, with structured mentorship and growth opportunities.

You will rotate through various teams, build practical experience, and work toward professional registration, supported by guidance, masterclasses, and a clear career framework.

Qualifications

• Must have or be on track to achieve a BEng, MEng, BSc, or MSc in one of the following subjects: Electronic Engineering, Communication Engineering, or Computer Science.
• Security clearance: BPSS, SC and DV clearance eligibility and ongoing assessment.
• International security restrictions may apply; UK nationality/residency requirements may affect eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to developing secure communication systems for remote and challenging environments.
• Assist in integrating commercial platforms with specialist technologies to ensure reliable connectivity for defence missions and humanitarian operations.
• Participate in rotations across the Mission Technologies business to gain exposure to diverse technologies and projects.
