Job summary

Babcock invites applications for a Civil Engineer Degree Apprentice based at Devonport. Over five years, you’ll study for a BSc (Hons) in Civil Engineering with hands-on placements across naval infrastructure projects and mentorship from experienced engineers.

You'll study at the University of Plymouth, attend block-release sessions, and work on site three days per week. Successful completion leads toward Incorporated/Chartered Engineer status and a Civil Structures Engineer role.

Qualifications

• Academic prerequisites and industry-security clearances may apply.
• Maths at grade C or equivalent required.
• STEM or engineering focused qualifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support civil and structural engineering designs and calculations.
• Participate in technical reporting and design development.
• Apply learning to real projects at Devonport and university.
