Job summary

Babcock International invites you to join as a Building Services Engineer Degree Apprentice at their Devonport site in Plymouth. Over five years you’ll study for a BEng (Hons) in Building Services Engineering while contributing to national security projects.

You’ll learn from experienced engineers within the Mechanical Building Services Group, gaining experience from design and technical analysis to maintenance and project delivery, and you’ll complete placements at Devonport with on-site work.

Qualifications

• Maths and STEM aptitude required for engineering
• Security clearance eligibility necessary for programme
• Ability to learn across design and analysis disciplines
• Commitment to long-term development in a highly regulated environment

Responsibilities

• Contribute to design, maintenance and improvement of building services systems (HVAC, plumbing, etc.)
• Gain experience from design through to maintenance and project delivery
• Develop engineering calculations and technical documentation
• Work on site at Devonport and undertake university day-release study
