Job summary

CBSbutler Holdings Limited trading as CBSbutler seeks an experienced Applications Engineer with strong UK MOD/Defence exposure to support enterprise applications in a secure environment. You will deploy, configure and manage applications across Windows and Linux, and coordinate lifecycle activities from deployment through decommissioning.

The role requires current SC or DV clearance and hands-on experience with AD/LDAP, databases, and networking, plus ITIL practices and documentation generation.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure and support enterprise applications across Windows and/or Linux environments.
• Manage application lifecycle activities including installation, patching, upgrades and decommissioning.
• Integrate applications with Active Directory/LDAP, databases and networking.
• Configure and maintain development, test and production environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex application and integration issues.
• Apply secure-by-design principles to deployment and configuration.
• Produce technical documentation including LLDs, build guides and runbooks.
• Support system integration, testing and validation.
• Work with Service Management teams to resolve incidents and service requests.
• Contribute to automation and standardisation of deployment processes.
• Support operational handover and ongoing application stability.
