Job summary

Rolls-Royce is seeking an Aircraft Performance Engineer in Bristol to support the Defence business. You will assess the Power & Propulsion System in relation to overall Air Vehicle operation and performance, ensuring safety within environmental constraints.

This role spans the full life-cycle, from conception and development through in-service operation to out-of-service. You will interface with customers, government agencies and manufacturers to articulate platform requirements and provide

Qualifications

• Degree in STEM or related engineering field.
• Solid understanding of aircraft performance fundamentals.
• Experience with gas turbines is advantageous.
• Proficiency in C++, Matlab, Python is beneficial.
• Ability to communicate complex technical information to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Interface with customers, government agencies and manufacturers to represent propulsion interests at platform level.
• Convey platform operation into meaningful propulsion insights for Rolls-Royce.
• Perform assessments of future/current platforms to gauge competitiveness of products.
• Maintain and develop toolsets, models and data for the project needs.
• Share knowledge and continuously improve practices within the business.
