Job summary

Rolls-Royce is seeking a Product Performance Engineer in Bristol to join the Global SEPP Capability. The role covers design, 1D thermodynamic simulation, and verification of engines at the whole-system level to predict emergent attributes from sub-systems.

You will model from first principles, manage requirements, and liaise with internal teams, airframers and regulators to deliver performance insights and certification-ready data. Security clearance may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Engineering or regional equivalent or equivalent experience.
• Strong technical knowledge in mechanical design and cross-disciplinary concepts (aerodynamics, thermodynamics, structural analysis).
• Ability to apply logical, analytical and innovative thinking to technical problems and balance decisions.
• Knowledge of product integrity, liability and certification frameworks.
• Membership in a relevant professional body; Chartered status preferred in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Own the definition of the product cycle and its interfaces.
• Provide prediction and analysis of product attributes at system/platform level.
• Gather and disseminate requirements from internal and external customers.
• Provide data to sub-systems for product design and development.
• Define and manage system and product interfaces.
• Support bringing the product to market and maturity.
• Provide insight into product/aircraft interaction.
• Manage relationships with internal and external customers.
