Job summary

CBSbutler is seeking an experienced Data Manager for a defence and aerospace programme in Luton. This hybrid role supports data governance across the full lifecycle on a 12-month contract, offering visibility of critical datasets and adherence to security and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities include delivering DMP-aligned data activities, ensuring data is structured, versioned and approved, and maintaining traceability.

Qualifications

• Experience in Defence/Aerospace data management.
• Knowledge of data lifecycle management.
• Experience with Data Management Plans (DMPs).
• Experience handling sensitive/export-controlled information.
• Experience in regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Deliver data management activities per Data Management Plans.
• Ensure data is identified, structured, versioned and approved.
• Maintain data visibility and traceability across datasets.
• Ensure secure data access and governance.
• Support audits and corrective actions.
• Work with Configuration, Engineering, Quality and Programme teams.
