TEAM LEWIS is seeking an Account Manager for Defence & Advanced Tech in London. The role focuses on managing client campaigns, developing integrated comms programs, and driving media and stakeholder engagement in the defence sector.

The successful candidate will have 2+ years in agency PR/public affairs, with deep defence sector experience, strong media relations, and a track record of coaching juniors while delivering client objectives.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in agency, supporting and leading PR and public affairs accounts.
• At least 18 months' experience in the defence sector, ideally with defence clients.
• Strong understanding of Parliament workings and media pitching.
• Good network across defence journalists, trade and political stakeholders.
• Knowledge of defence sector themes and procurement landscape.

Responsabilités

• Maintain consultative client relationships to ensure campaign delivery.
• Develop mixed media campaigns combining media, political and marketing activity.
• Drive media relations and opportunities to lead the news agenda.
• Foster relationships with journalists, influencers and political stakeholders.
• Create impactful content including press releases, articles and blogs.
• Support UK market entry for clients, including setting up UK subsidiaries.
• Assist with defence bid communications and tenders navigation.
• Keep across defence themes, procurement landscape and upcoming contracts.
• Coach Account Executives and ensure KPI reporting with insight.
• Ensure budgets are managed effectively and milestones met.
• Model professional excellence and ownership.
