Job summary

Crystal Care Collection Limited is seeking an experienced Unit Manager to lead our care teams and uphold the highest standards of resident care.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will mentor staff, ensure regulatory compliance, manage day-to-day home operations, and participate in on-call rotes.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent).
• Experience in a senior care or leadership role.

• Lead home outside office hours when needed.

Job description

We're looking for a dedicated Unit Manager to join our team and play a key role in leading our care teams, maintaining the highest standards of care and supporting the day-to-day running of the home., As a Care Team Leader / Deputy Manager, you'll lead by example, supporting and mentoring care teams to deliver person-centred care that enables residents to live fulfilled, enriched and dignified lives.

Working closely with the General Manager and Care Manager, you'll help ensure the home operates safely, effectively and in line with regulatory requirements, while promoting a positive culture for both residents and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for the home outside office hours or in the absence of the General Manager and/or Care Manager, ensuring safe and effective operation.
• Lead, coach and support the care team to deliver outstanding person-centred care.
• Provide high-quality personal care in accordance with individual care plans.
• Act as a Key Worker for allocated residents, ensuring their needs and preferences are fully understood and met.
• Assist in developing, reviewing and implementing individual care plans.
• Undertake Move-In Assessments as delegated and contribute to decisions regarding admissions.
• Safely order, administer and record medication in line with company procedures and legislation.
• Maintain the highest standards of confidentiality and ensure colleagues do the same.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, COSHH, Infection Prevention & Control and all relevant health and social care legislation.
• Complete quality audits, supervisions and appraisals as delegated by the management team.
• Support the delivery of hands-on care whenever required.
• Participate in the home's emergency on-call rota.
