Job summary

Circle Health Group Decontamination is seeking a Unit Trainer in Aylesford to join the Decontamination department. This full-time role offers 37.5 hours per week with a flexible shift pattern and a salary up to £28,500 per year, dependent on experience and qualifications.

You will deliver training programmes for decontamination staff, conduct competency reviews, and provide mentoring to develop staff. The role emphasises hands-on teaching and alignment with national standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering training or teaching sessions.
• Strong organisational and planning skills in a busy environment.
• Sound knowledge of sterile services and endoscopy reprocessing.
• Awareness of decontamination legislation, standards and best practice.
• Strong presentation, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to use blended learning approaches to meet learner needs.
• Proficiency with IT systems, Microsoft Office and e-learning platforms.

Responsibilities

• Deliver training programmes for decontamination staff, ensuring consistency with national and corporate standards.
• Provide hands-on training to ensure staff competency in sterile services and endoscopy reprocessing.
• Carry out competency reviews, assessments and revalidation of staff skills.
• Provide supervision, coaching and mentoring to develop staff.
• Create a positive learning environment and promote professional development.
• Work with management to embed training into operational performance and quality frameworks.
