Job summary

Circle Health Group Decontamination is seeking a Sterile Services Technician for the Aylesford site. This full-time role covers 37.5 hours per week with rotating day and night shifts in the Decontamination department.

You will provide decontamination, checking, assembly, sterilisation and delivery of medical equipment, while maintaining safety standards and building strong relationships with customers. Teamwork and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Hepatitis B immunisation is required for this job role.
• Experience in decontamination centre or operating theatre preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide a first-class decontamination sterile service to Operating Theatres and clinical departments.
• Assist in decontamination, checking, assembly, packing, sterilisation and delivery of equipment.
• Maintain good relationships with customers and promote Health & Safety.
• Ensure equipment meets safety standards and report faults to Team Leader/Manager.
• Assist in liaising with departments to ensure supply of items is maintained.
• Comply with all mandatory training.

Sterile Services Technician Circle Decontamination - Aylesford 37.5 Hours & Permanent Salary: Up to £27,805.42 per year (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)

Circle Health Group Decontamination is responsible for the provision of sterile equipment and instrumentation for use in surgical and interventional procedures in hospitals across England and Glasgow. The unit operates 24 hours a day/7 days a week with rotating shifts covering days and nights as required. We have an opportunity for a Sterile Services Technician to join their team of staff in the Decontamination department. This is a full time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.

Duties of this role include:

• You provide a first-class decontamination sterile service to the Operating Theatres, clinical departments and relevant paramedical departments.
• You assist in the provision of decontamination, checking, assembly, packing, sterilisation and delivery of medical and surgical equipment and sundry items to/for the customer.
• You maintain good working relationships with all customers.
• You promote and maintain Health & Safety within the department.
• You ensure all equipment is maintained to the required standard of safety, reporting any faults to Team leader/Manager.
• You assist the Team Leaders in liaising with departments to ensure supply of items is maintained.
• You maintain the accepted Health & Safety requirements for the protection of staff and visitors.
• You comply with all relevant mandatory training.
