Job summary

Western Health and Social Care Trust seeks an Operations Quality Assurance Manager to lead the decontamination services in HSDU, Endoscopy and community settings within Omagh. You will ensure compliance with MHRA and ISO 13485:2016, provide technical guidance, and deputise for the HSDU Deputy Manager as needed.

The role focuses on overseeing end-to-end decontamination processes, systems development, and maintaining quality standards while managing resources and staff across sites.

Qualifications

• University degree in management, business or clinical field with supervision experience in hospital/manufacturing.
• 5+ years in hospital/manufacturing with 2 years of supervision.
• Decontamination qualification or willingness to undertake within 2 years.
• Full driving license and access to a car for Trust-wide duties.
• Ability to work across the Trust and unsocial hours as required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the decontamination process including collection, washing, disinfection, drying, packing and sterilizing of instruments and endoscopes.
• Make and implement department decisions to ensure efficient running of the department.
• Develop, implement and monitor quality systems across HSDU, Endoscopy and community settings.
• Manage resources, including HR, within the HSDU; maintain staff rota covering all hours.
• Draft budget estimates and monitor expenditure and manpower levels.
• Generate monthly/annual activity reports highlighting productivity.
• Participate in procurement decisions for instruments, equipment and supplies.
