Job summary

Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust seeks an experienced leader to become Head of Decontamination Services. You will provide strategic and operational leadership across Sterile Services, Endoscopy Decontamination and Mattress Decontamination, running a critical 24/7 service with safety and quality at the core.

Working with senior leaders and clinical teams, you will set the service direction, champion continuous improvement, manage risk, and ensure value for money while delivering

Qualifications

• Proven leadership of 24/7 decontamination or sterile services teams.
• Experience in quality assurance and safety governance.
• Track record of improving efficiency, patient safety and cost value.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership across Sterile Services, Endoscopy Decontamination and Mattress Decontamination.
• Direct a 24/7 service, ensuring instruments and equipment are processed safely and efficiently.
• Align with senior leaders and clinical teams to drive continuous improvement and risk management.
• Budget planning, resource optimization and performance improvement within regulatory standards.
