Job summary

MCS Group is partnering with a growing private healthcare group to recruit an experienced SSD & Endoscopy Decontamination Manager. This senior role oversees decontamination operations across the organisation, ensuring regulatory compliance, quality improvements and service expansion.

You will lead SSD and Endoscopy Decontamination teams, drive capacity planning, audits, CAPA and lifecycle management, and manage budgets and key supplier relationships.

Qualifications

• Significant experience managing SSD/CSSD services.
• Strong experience within Endoscopy Decontamination.
• Excellent knowledge of decontamination standards, quality systems and regulatory compliance.
• Experience leading teams and driving service improvement.
• Exposure to capital projects, equipment commissioning or service expansion.
• Strong stakeholder management and leadership capability.
• Professional qualification in Sterile Services/Decontamination.

Responsibilities

• Lead SSD and Endoscopy Decontamination teams across multiple sites.
• Manage capacity, workload planning, staffing and service performance.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (RQIA, HIQA, MDR, IPC).
• Oversee endoscope reprocessing, AERs, traceability and microbiological surveillance.
• Maintain and improve Quality Management Systems, audits and CAPA.
• Lead equipment validation, maintenance and lifecycle planning.
• Support new hospital developments, theatre expansion and decontamination capacity.
• Manage budgets, suppliers, contracts and capital investment.
• Drive standardisation, Lean improvements and digital tracking.
• Act as group SME for decontamination governance.
