Job summary

Bridgewater Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Cleaner (Decontamination Technician) to support the decontamination of medical equipment in the Community Equipment Stores, Warrington site. The role includes the disassembly and manual cleaning stages and uses industrial washers, pressure washers, steam cleaners and vacuums, with stock replenishment and a tidy, compliant work area.

The position expects a background in cleaning, with hospital cleaning experience being desirable.

Qualifications

• Cleaning experience is required.
• Hospital cleaning experience would be desirable.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble medical equipment and perform manual cleaning stage.
• Decontamination process in accordance with Trust and national policies.
• Prioritise and process the cleaning of medical equipment to facilitate the smooth running and the recycling process of medical equipment. Use cleaning machinery such as an industrial washer, pressure washer, steam cleaner, and vacuum cleaner. Re-stock chemicals and disposable items as needed. Keep the warehouse and car park area clean per risk assessments and Health & Safety regulations.

Pay

£12.92 per hour

• Prioritise and process the cleaning of medical equipment to facilitate the smooth running and the recycling process of medical equipment. Use of cleaning machinery such as industrial washer, pressure washer, steam cleaner, vacuum cleaner. Re-stocking of chemicals and disposable items required within the department during the working day. Keep the warehouse and car park area in a clean and tidy condition in accordance with risk assessment and Health & Safety regulations.
