Job summary

NHS Professionals in the United Kingdom is seeking a Cleaner (Decontamination Technician) to join the Community Equipment Stores at Warrington. The role involves cleaning and decontaminating medical equipment and supporting the recycling process within a NHS Trust environment.

You will operate cleaning machinery, manage chemical stocks, and keep the work areas tidy and compliant with health and safety policies.

Qualifications

• Cleaning experience
• Hospital cleaning experience would be desirable

Responsibilities

• Disassemble medical equipment and perform manual cleaning stage decontamination in accordance with Trust and national polices.
• Prioritise and process the cleaning of medical equipment to facilitate the smooth running and the recycling process of medical equipment.
• Use of cleaning machinery such as industrial washer, pressure washer, steam cleaner, vacuum cleaner.
• Re-stocking of chemicals and disposable items required within the department during the working day.
• Keep the warehouse and car park area in a clean and tidy condition in accordance with risk assessment and Health & Safety regulations.
