Job summary

Millbank Holdings Ltd seeks a Site Operative to join a specialist engineering and project delivery team in the Aldermaston area. The role focuses on decommissioning, waste management, and maintenance of critical facilities within highly regulated sectors.

You will operate in a safety‑driven environment, execute decommissioning tasks, support environmental controls, and assist with lifting and material handling while maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial, engineering, construction, energy, defence or nuclear environments.
• Strong understanding of health and safety procedures and safe systems of work.
• Experience using PPE and safety equipment.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills.
• Hands-on practical approach to work.
• Ability to follow written instructions and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Undertake decommissioning, dismantling and operational activities as per procedures.
• Support decontamination activities on plant and facilities.
• Assist with waste management, segregation and disposal.
• Operate tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Carry out routine inspections, housekeeping and site maintenance.
• Support lifting operations and material handling as required.
• Adhere to health, safety, environmental and quality requirements.
• Collaborate with supervisors to deliver project objectives.
• Maintain records and documentation where required.
• Participate in training and continuous improvement initiatives.
