Job summary

Vero HR Ltd is recruiting a Recoveries Officer for a debt recovery and financial services client in Basingstoke. You will manage delinquent accounts across personal, commercial and asset finance, balancing commercial judgment, customer care and compliance to maximise recoveries.

The role requires professional, resilient and customer-focused individuals with experience in recoveries, debt resolution or financial services, and strong communication and negotiation skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in recoveries, collections or debt resolution.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Strong IT and systems capability.
• Strong organisation and prioritisation of multiple cases.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Managing and progressing delinquent and defaulted accounts.
• Contacting customers via telephone, email, letter, SMS and other channels.
• Assessing circumstances and determining recovery strategies.
• Negotiating repayment arrangements and settlements.
• Identifying vulnerable customers and applying forbearance.
• Supporting asset recovery, repossessions and enforcement activity.
• Working with solicitors, insolvency practitioners and recovery agents.
• Supporting litigation and insolvency cases including bankruptcies and IVAs.
• Maintaining accurate case records and MI.
• Identifying risks, trends and opportunities to improve recovery performance.
• Ensuring actions comply with legal, regulatory and company requirements.
