Job summary

The FSE Group seeks a seasoned lending professional to originate, structure and deliver SME loans in the South West of England. You will work directly with management teams to support sustainable growth, leveraging an established introducer network.

Role is hybrid, centred in Devon with a focus on debt funding and growth-supportive finance. Experience in evaluating credit proposals and presenting to a credit committee is essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in lending to SMEs with repayment from cash flow
• Ability to assess and structure loan propositions from business plans and forecasts
• Established network of professional introducers in the required location
• Ability to multi-task and prioritise deadlines to meet customer expectations
• Strong presentation skills and the ability to communicate at all management levels
• Diligent working style and experience using CRM systems to manage proposals
• Interest in leveraging AI and technology to improve efficiency
• Established professional introducer network in the area.

Responsibilities

• Originate a pipeline of lending opportunities and develop introducer relationships
• Carry out evaluation and due diligence on proposals
• Create and present credit proposals to an independent committee
• Manage completion post-approval including facility documentation and security
• Pro-actively manage client portfolio and monitor performance
• Support periodic fund reporting requirements
