Aspire Recruitment is seeking an experienced Debt Advice Caseworker to support individuals with complex financial needs across probation services, hubs and prison settings.
The role involves carrying out full financial assessments, prioritising debts, negotiating with creditors and helping clients achieve realistic repayment plans while maintaining accurate case records.
Based across Bridlington and Scarborough
Up to £27,500 per year
Full-time, Permanent
We are recruiting an experienced Debt Advice Caseworker to support people with complex financial situations, including problem debt, benefit issues and financial instability, within probation services, activity hubs and prison settings.
This role is suited to candidates with a background in frontline debt advice or money guidance, for example those who have worked for Citizens Advice, charitable debt advice services, housing associations, local authority welfare teams or similar organisations.
You will work with individuals who often have multiple debts, limited income and challenging personal circumstances. Your focus will be on reviewing financial situations in detail, developing realistic repayment plans, negotiating with creditors and helping people regain control of their finances.
This is NOT a collections, enforcement or commercial finance role. We are specifically seeking experience in supporting people with problem debt, NOT recovering debt.
Due to the nature of this role, you will have access to your own vehicle and you will be required to complete an online Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and enhanced security clearance vetting.
