Citizens Advice BANES is seeking a Trainee Money Advice Caseworker to help people in North Yorkshire. You will train to deliver money and debt advice through casework, phone and email, and liaise with third parties on clients' behalf.

Salary £27,624 per annum (increasing to £28,096 after probation period)

We’re looking for a proactive and compassionate individual to join our team as a Trainee Money Advice Caseworker. In this vital role, you’ll undertake accredited training to deliver money and debt advice through casework, phone and email and liaise with third parties on behalf of clients. A key focus will be supporting clients to maximise their income, for example by claiming appropriate benefits and helping them resolve financial difficulties.
You’ll need to be organised, motivated and able to manage a varied caseload while meeting targets and deadlines. The ideal candidate is an effective communicator with strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, capable of interviewing clients sensitively and maintaining accurate, detailed case records. You should also be comfortable learning independently, seeking support when needed and applying new knowledge to your work.
The role is based at your preferred North Yorkshire office: Harrogate, Malton, Northallerton, Richmond, Scarborough or Selby.
