Dealership Accountant Required for Commercial Vehicle Dealership

• Company: Established Commercial Vehicle Dealership
• Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm
• Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
• Contract: Full-Time, Permanent

We are currently seeking a Dealership Accountant to join our well-established Commercial Vehicle Dealership. This role is ideal for a highly organised and detail-oriented individual with experience in the motor trade who can effectively oversee financial operations and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Production of monthly management accounts
• Preparation of an audit file for all balance sheet accounts each month
• Supervision and maintenance of the fixed asset register
• Completion of monthly vehicle stock takes
• Ensuring accuracy in vehicle profit reports, capturing all costs and correctly reporting sales
• Supervision of sales and purchase ledgers
• Cost analysis of key expenditure areas
• Credit control management
• Updating the monthly sales log
• Preparation and submission of the VAT return

Knowledge & Experience Required:

• Minimum of three years' experience as a Management Accountant
• Experience within the automotive or commercial vehicle industry
• Highly organised and computer literate
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
• Excellent organisational and analytical skills
• Flexible and enthusiastic approach to work
